Westleigh Homes has now unveiled a gorgeous new showhome for property-seekers to discover at its landmark Wolsey Island development in Leicester.
Nestled between the east bank of the River Soar and the Grand Union Canal, the collection of two, three and four-bedroom homes has proven a huge hit with quick-off-the-mark buyers who are eager to make a move to a peaceful and well-connected location that’s rich with history and culture.
And with the release of the magnificent three-bedroom Corah showhome, which has been lovingly designed by interior experts Jane Clayton & Company, the level of interest is expected only to rise.
“I wanted to create a showhome for would-be buyers that would appeal to every aspect of their lifestyle, whether they’re professionals or have a young family,” explains Chloe Irish, Interior Designer for Jane Clayton.
“The idea was to incorporate cultural references from the surrounding area to welcome people into a modern, on-trend showhome.
“For this, I chose to use mustard yellow and soft grey, which are key colours this season, with a few pops of blue dotted around. These are colours that visitors will likely have seen frequently in fashion, as well as in interior design.”
Featuring an eye-catching façade that pays homage to the development’s industrial heritage, the three-storey Corah boasts a light and airy living room, a dual-aspect kitchen/diner with access to the private rear garden and a guest cloakroom.
The first-floor landing leads to two good-sized bedrooms, one of which comes complete with its own balcony, and a family bathroom, while the top floor is home to a further bedroom, a dedicated study which could alternatively be used as an occasional guest bedroom, and a stylish bathroom.
“Seeing as everyone’s lifestyle is unique, I was keen for the showhome to be able to adjust to each person as an individual,” Chloe continues.
“This is demonstrated through the multi-functional study that could be used as a home office, while the day bed shows how it can alternatively act as a guest room or a place for quiet relaxation.
“Personally, my favourite room is the selfie room, which is inspired by the current global trend. It’s unlike anything I’ve done before and I hope that many buyers will be able to identify with the fun and eye-catching mural that draws influence from Instagram and the world of fashion.
“There’s also an exciting, penguin-themed room for younger visitors, which is perfect for playtime and adventures.”
What’s more, the Help to Buy: Equity Loan is available at Wolsey Island, making a move to this sought-after development even easier and more affordable.
Help to Buy enables first-time buyers and those with a property to sell to move to a brand new home with an equity loan of up to 20% of the full price of the property with just a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage. The equity loan is interested free for the first five years.
Chloe adds: “I hope that visitors to the showhome will agree that the interior design I’ve created shows off the flexibility and adaptability of the house and is both memorable and enjoyable to walk around.”
Lisa Morris, New Homes Manager for Westleigh, said: “We’re really excited to be unveiling the Corah showhome at Wolsey Island.
“While it’s possible to get an understanding of how a showhome will look from its floorplans, there really is no substitute for coming to take a look for yourself.
“Therefore, I would urge anyone who hopes to make a move to the development to pay the Corah a visit.”
A fabulous range of two, three and four-bedroom homes is still available to reserve at Wolsey Island, with prices starting from £199,950, £252,950 and £289,950 respectively.
