The Sales Consultant at Westleigh’s sought-after Melton Fields development in Melton Mowbray says she is enjoying the experience of sharing her knowledge of the area with prospective purchasers.
Sonia Bunn was recently appointed to her position at the development of two, three and four-bedroom homes on Leicester Road, having previously worked at Westleigh’s Forest Green development in Huncote.
Born in Liverpool but having lived near to Melton Mowbray for most of her life, Sonia has also worked as a Sales Consultant for another housing developer in the North Midlands.
“Coming from Forest Green to Melton Fields has allowed me to bring my knowledge of the local area to my role,” she explains.
“Not only is Melton Mowbray a lovely market town, it sits in a very central location that’s close by to Loughborough, Grantham and Leicester, to name just a few.
“Because I’ve lived in the area for the majority of my life, I know a lot about the schools, the town centre, and what’s going on in the town, and it’s really nice to be able to put my knowledge into practice and share it with would-be buyers.
“I also know lots of the people who come to visit the Sales and Marketing Suite, which really helps them to have a really personable experience.
“Being close to home has allowed me to cut down on my commute and works even better than before in terms of the time I get to spend with my family, so I couldn’t be happier.”
Among the homes available to reserve at Melton Fields is the stunning, three-bedroom detached Derwent home style, which is priced from £249,950.
The Derwent boasts a light and airy living room with double doors leading to the private rear garden, a dual-aspect kitchen/diner, a handy utility room and a guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.
The landing leads to three good-sized bedrooms, one of which comes complete with its own en-suite shower room, and a stylish family bathroom.
Sonia continues: “The Derwent is such a fabulous home due to the space that’s on offer. It has a good-sized living room and kitchen, as well as three spacious bedrooms, making it ideal for both professional couples and growing families.”
The Part Exchange scheme is available on selected plots at Melton Fields, allowing prospective purchasers to secure a brand new home with no need to find a buyer for their existing property.
Westleigh will arrange for specialist independent selling agents to value the buyer’s current home and make an offer, based on the agents’ valuations. Once the offer is accepted, buyers can stay in their present home until their new one is complete.
On a day-to-day basis, Sonia’s responsibilities include maintaining the presentation of both the Marketing Suite and the showhome, responding to enquiries from potential purchasers, welcoming visitors to the development and dealing with financial advisors.
Her favourite part of the job is leading buyers through the process, from the moment they walk through the doors of the Marketing Suite to the point of getting the keys to their dream home.
Sonia adds: “Seeing how happy people are when they’ve made that step to reserve a property is just the best thing. It’s probably the biggest purchase they will make in their life and to be involved in that moment is really special.
“I’m hoping that Westleigh will be my forever job and I will stay with the business until retirement.”
Lisa Morris, New Homes Manager for Westleigh, said: “We are thrilled to have welcomed Sonia to the team at Melton Fields.
“With her work at Forest Green, she has already proven herself to be very passionate and committed about her position, and I have every confidence that she will continue to shine.”
There is currently a range of three and four-bedroom homes available to reserve at Melton Fields, with prices starting from £209,950 and £299,950 respectively.
